How to Open a Karvy Currency Derivatives Account

  • To open a Karvy Currency Derivatives account, first you need to register your details with us. Please follow the link Request a call back to enter your details /or please express your interest by writing to us at currency@karvy.com
  • Once you are registered, you will contacted by our customer support associate, who will take down your postal address and courier the Client registration form (Individual/ Non- Individual). Or we can arrange for a local representative to meet you personally where possible.
  • The courier would be delivered to your respective residence/office address. The courier would contain a Karvy welcome kit and the return address.
  • Before you fill the Client registration form, please take the time to read the form and follow the instructions given in each page.
  • Please find below, the documents required for opening a currency trading account (Individual/ Non- Individual).

Individual Account:


(All the documents should be signed by the client/applicant)

  1. I-zone individual application form duly filled and signed at all places marked with a cross.
  2. Two photographs attested on the registration form
  3. ID Proof-Pan Card Xerox
  4. Address Proof- Electricity Bill/(or) Passport Xerox/(or) Driving License etc
  5. 3 months bank statement  (signed & attested by the banker) /IT returns
  6. E-mail ID confirmation (Please  send a default mail to currency@karvy.com for e-mail confirmation and cc to ecnrequest@karvy.com )
  7. Account opening fee of Rs 500 addressed to “Karvy Stock Broking Limited”

Corporate Account:


(All the documents should be certified true copies and Self attested by the authorized person and all the original documents should be produced before KSBL Staff for their verification)

  1. I-zone Non-Individual application form duly filled and signed where cross mark is given
  2. Five photographs of the authorized signatory/signatories. Two photographs each of any two directors. One photograph for the rest of the whole time directors.
  3. Memorandum and Articles of Association should be certified by one of the directors.
  4. Company PAN card.
  5. Address proof of the company.
  6. Address proof and PAN card of all the whole-time director’s of the company.
  7. Copy of the Balance sheet for the last two financial years. If company is newly established net worth certificate is required.
  8. On company's letter head (which should include CIN number & corporate address details),  copy of  the latest share holding pattern (in percentage terms) including the list of all share holders duly certified by the CS/CMD. Beneficial owners who have share holding of 25% and more, should provide their PAN card and address proof.
  9. On the company's letter head (which should include CIN number & corporate address details), starting from the left side of the page please provide the photograph, name and signature of all the whole-time director’s of the company (in three tabular columns).
  10. List of Authorized signatory/signatories with photograph on the letter head of the company (which should include CIN number & corporate address details) duly certified by the CS/CMD.
  11. Attestation of the Signature by the Banker:
    Please follow the format as mentioned in Page No: C-20 of the Trading Account form. On company's letter head (which should include CIN number & corporate address details) duly filled in the format mentioned. Document should be certified by the banker & authorized signatory/signatories. 
  12. 3months latest bank statement for the bank account that would be mentioned in  Karvy Client Registration form (For Non-individual) on Page No: A-11
  13. Board Resolution in case of Corporate:
    Please provide a Board Resolution form on the company's letterhead (as given in page no: C-21 part 2 of the Trading account form) which should mention the name/or names of person who is authorized to deal with brokerage firm on behalf of the company (The person authorized by the board should be allowed to sign on the Trading Account form as the Client/Applicant). This should be duly certified by the CS/CMD.
  14. ECN Confirmation (E-mail confirmation – A representative of Karvy will send the client a Welcome mail, the client should reply back to the same mail and cc to ecnrequest@karvy.com . The printout copy of the ECN that will be carried by the Karvy representative should be signed by the client).
  15. Document declaration on the company's letterhead (as given in Page No: C-20 Part 2).
  16. Declaration of No action taken by SEBI or any other Exchange on the letterhead of the company (as given in Page No: C-20 Part 3).
  17. Form 32 in case of any change of directors from date of commencement
  18. DIN number, PAN number, Address, Mobile number/Telephone number & Email Id required for any two directors duly filled in page A-9/A-14 of trading account form.
  19. Account opening fee of Rs 500 addressed to “Karvy Stock Broking Limited”
  • Before dispatching the Client registration form (Individual/ Non- Individual). Please make sure of the following: a) Application is duly filled, b) Signatures are attested next to the cross mark, c) The photograph is attested on the required pages, d) All the documents have been attached with the application and e) Account opening cheque has been attached.
